At The Sulfur Group, we love a creative challenge, and when YouTube approached us to help promote their YouTube Shorts platform alongside the dynamic K-pop girl group NewJeans, we knew we were in for something exciting. Our mission was to enlist influencers, spark a viral dance trend, and make YouTube Shorts the place to be. Here's how we did it.
Challenge
YouTube wanted to shine a spotlight on their YouTube Shorts platform, and they had an ace up their sleeve - the catchy "Super Shy" song by NewJeans. The challenge was to collaborate with influencers, encourage them to groove to the choreographed dance of the song, and enlist their audience to join in on the fun. We also had to introduce influencers to the Trending on Shorts program, a quick-content initiative.
Solution
We knew we had to get influencers on board who could bust a move with the best of them. We found four incredible creators with a combined following of 21 million on YouTube and Instagram. These influencers became the life of the Shorts party and weren't shy about it.
With 12 deliverables in hand, including one value-adds post, our creators set out to dance their hearts out. The influencers didn't just dance; they embodied the spirit of NewJeans. Sulfur provided digital creative briefs to ensure the content was on point with YouTube and the mission.
To sweeten the deal, we also helped influencers understand the Trending on Shorts program. After all, it's all about quick content and riding the wave of trends. We ensured they were ready to amplify whatever YouTube had in store.
